Description

Our Split Silage Pit Sampler made from stainless steel is 1.9 meters long when assembled. The sampler can be split in two for ease of transportation from farm to farm. The sample length taken each time is 150 mm. Each sample needs to be removed by using something like a screwdriver.

By taking a silage sample gives you an indication about the nutrional value of the silage you made this year. This information allows you make a tailored diet plan for winter feeding. If the quality is good you don't have to buy as much concentrates supplementation for livestock. But if the quality is poor you now know you need X amount of concentrates to make up for the poor feed quality.

How to use:

1. Pierce a hole in the silage pit using something sharp before inserting the sampler into the pit.
2. Insert the sampler into the pierced hole and drive down as far as possible.
3. Turn the sampler will give you a better sample.
4. Once the sample is taken remove the silage using a screwdriver into an empty bucket.
5. Take samples away for analysis.
