Description

The Agreto soil compaction tester/Soil penetrometer is a device for determining the compaction of soil on your farm.The ground is pierced to measure its penetration resistance and detect any compacted layers in the soil. This enables any loosening measures to be taken if necessary. Find out how soil comapction can prevent soil from reaching its full potential.

How to use

• The best time for measurements is in the spring.
• The soil should have a good water content, as this can strongly influence the measurement.
• In the case of light floors, mount the large tip, in the case of heavy ones, the small tip.
• Poke into the ground slowly.
• Press only on the handles, not on the display.
• On the basis of the markings, you can read the penetration depth.
• The holder of the second tip can be used as a stop.
• The pressure profile is displayed continuously.
• In the case of soil compaction, the pressure rises abruptly.
• The inner scale is valid for the 13mm tip, the outer scale for the19mm tip.
• Compare many different readings to get a feel for the environmental influences on the readings.
• Store the device lying down in a dry and safe place.
