Rain Gauge

Provides a simple and practical way to measure and record rainfall on your farm, with an easy-to-read scale displaying rainfall in both millimetres and inches.

The conical reservoir features a ground spike, allowing the gauge to be positioned directly into the soil. For greater flexibility, it can also be used with our range of rain gauge stands and mounts for secure placement in a field, garden, on a wall or post.

Monitoring rainfall gives you location-specific information that can support grassland, grazing and crop management decisions. Combined with soil temperature and soil moisture, rainfall records can provide a useful picture of growing conditions throughout the season.

• Positioned in a field or lawn using one of our rain gauge stands.

Recording Rainfall

Check your rain gauge regularly and record the measurement before emptying. Recording rainfall at approximately the same time each day will make your results easier to compare.

Over time, you can calculate weekly or monthly rainfall totals and compare different periods throughout the year. Keeping these records provides a simple way to build up a picture of rainfall patterns specific to your farm.
