How To Use Nitracheck 404
Step 1 Prepare sample solution to be tested.
Step 2 Insert unused test strip into Nitrachek read-head to calibrate/zero strip, then close hatch.
Step 3 When meter reads GO open and remove strips then carefully dip into your sample solution for 2-3 seconds, upon countdown of meter remove and vigorously shake off excess solution, wait for 60 seconds (countdown timer on Nitrachek) for colour change.
Step 4 As countdown approaches 60 seconds (audible bleeps) 3, 2, 1, Insert activated test strip into Read-head (facing LEDs) and close hatch. Measurement is automatic and results are displayed immediately on the large LCD in ppm. Mg/l.
Step 5 You will get the reading back in PPM. This reading will give you an indication if the grass is ready for cutting or if you have to wait another few weeks.
